CRICKET: When there is a Darling Downs Bush Bash League media call Kent Reimers is front and centre.
However, the DDBBL front man is always quick to point he is just one of many faces making the Twenty20 competition tick.
When The Chronicle asked for nominations for our new From the Sidelines feature, Reimers immediately nominated Clayton Forknall.
“Clayton has a big body of work and I feel he deserves recognition for it,” Reimers said.
“He’s been involved in Toowoomba and Darling Downs cricket for a long time and more recently the DDBBL.
“There’re plenty of people out there with great ideas but for every idea or concept you have you need someone to make it work.
“A few of us had the idea for the DDBBL but blokes like Clayton are the ones that are helping make them a reality.
“Now that work that Clayton and our other volunteers have done is being picked up other centres like Cairns and the Goulburn Valley who are looking to run their own DDBBL style competitions.”
