HEAT DOUSED BY WET WEATHER
Brisbane Heat’s WBBL campaign has taken a hit, with wet weather severely impacting their weekend fixtures.
After getting just one game away the previous weekend, rain has again prevented them from making any ground in the competition.
Their Saturday match against Hobart finished in a no result due to persistent rain.
On Sunday they were faced with a tough task against the Sydney Thunder, needing to chase down 45 runs off five overs.
They fell short at 7/30, with Warwick’s Delissa Kimmince hitting eight off four balls.
With the ball she had figures of 1/14 as the Thunder scored 3/80 from 12.1 overs.
