CRICKET: Darling Downs South West Queensland is looking to maintain pace in the race for a finals berth in the Lord’s Taverners competition.

The side will head to the coast this weekend as they prepare for another tough tussle against Wynnum/Manly.

Currently they sit second in the North Zone, within striking range of Valley, who ended DDSWQ’s two-game win streak at the weekend.

The tight nature of the U16s competition means the side dropped from third to fifth in the South Zone standings following last weekend’s loss.

Play commences at 10am on Sunday at the Moreton Bay Sports and Recreation Centre.

WBBL ROUND TWO

Warwick’s Delissa Kimmince and the Brisbane Heat will be looking to clean sweep their double header this weekend at Allen Border Oval.

They face off against the Perth Scorchers tomorrow and the Hobart Hurricanes on Sunday as the ‘Big Weekend’ comes to Brisbane, with double-headers taking place on both days.

Kimmince took a wicket in both fixtures last weekend as the Heat split their fixtures against the Sixers and Thunder.

Both Heat games commence at 1.10pm, and appear on Kayo.
