Darling Downs into semi finals of school championships, Heat continue run of form

CRICKET: Darling Downs can book a spot in the Queensland School Sport 10-12 Boys Cricket State Championships final with a big performance today.

The Downs earned their spot in today’s major semi final after being the highest ranked second-placed team throughout the group stages.

They will take on the South Coast at Mills Oval, Toowoomba Grammar today to try and book their spot in tomorrow’s final.

Play gets underway from 9am.

HEAT CONTINUE WINNING STREAK

The Brisbane Heat won its fourth-straight game yesterday, downing the Sydney Sixers by three wickets at Spotless Stadium.

Brisbane chased down the total of 123 with 13 balls to spare, with Toowoomba’s Georgia Voll scoring 19 off 16 deliveries, including three boundaries.

The Heat can make it five in a row when taking on the Perth Scorchers this morning.
