MOTORSPORT: Will Brown has received a golden opportunity.

The Toowoomba driver has been named as a member of the Hyundai Customer Racing Junior Driving Program.

He joins three other international drivers as part of the program, which will see him line up in the i30 N TCR as he looks to defend his TCR Australia Series crown.

“They want to bring us through on a pathway to the World Touring Car Cup, which is like our Supercars but overseas,” Brown said.

“It will help me out personally, try and see where we can go better in Australia and possibly look at competing overseas later in the year.”

The program provides vital education, insights and training for the young drivers, and Brown said it was a great opportunity to further excel his driving.

“I’ve been through a lot of the stuff like the media training, but it will be good to see it on a world scale and what they do,” he said.

“Working on a lot of things with them will be good, and if I can have a good year, it would be nice to get overseas.”
