Eight offenders caught having 3am swim at local pool

EIGHT offenders were caught by police having a splash in the Roma swimming pool after climbing the fence to get in the closed facilities.

EIGHT offenders were caught by police having a splash in the Roma swimming pool after climbing the fence to get in the closed facilities.

At 3am on November 2, police received reports from members of the public that there were people swimming in the pool.

Police attended the pool and located four offenders, with the other four running off into the night.

They negotiated with the four offenders that remained to encourage the others to return, as they had left their personal property behind, including their phones and wallets.

The offenders, four of which were female and four of which were male ranging from 18-27 years of age were issued an infringement notice for trespassing.
