I'VE always been fascinated by flying.
There is something so remarkable and fascinating that just in the last 100 years we've made these machines that can take us to the other side of the world in just hours.
Of course, being scrunched up in Economy class for 20 hours is never any fun, but I had always wondered what it would be like to be at the front of the plane.
And by front, I don't mean first class, I mean the cockpit.
Thankfully, today was that day.
Guided by Captain Christopher Smith, the university's chief training pilot, I attempted to land the A320 at New York's JFK Airport.
Could I do it without crashing? Well you'll just have to watch the above video to find out.
I couldn't believe how realistic the simulator felt.
Leaving it after the flight I felt like I had actually been flying.
USQ students have a lot to look forward to with this new machine.
