City girl newest member of team

THE Toowoomba Chronicle has welcomed its newest journalist to the team. Here’s what you need to know.

HI TOOWOOMBA, my name is Meg and I’m the newest addition to The Chronicle team.

I’ve moved to Toowoomba from an hour down the road in Dalby, but I am a “big city girl” through and through.

I jumped between living in Brisbane and Sydney as a child and into my early adult years, so coming to southwest Queensland was a pretty huge change for me, but one I loved.

I spent nearly two years in Dalby covering everything under the sun from court to sport, fatalities to food festivals.

I’m still a relative newbie to the journalism game, but in the short amount of time I’ve been working out west I’ve learnt a lot.

I’m excited to now put all the skills I’ve learned and knowledge I’ve gained to use with the incredible team at The Chronicle.

I’m young, but I’m hungry, and I’m passionate about good news and advocating for people whose voices can’t quite reach the masses.

I can’t wait to explore my new home a little more.

If you have a story you think is worth sharing, I can be reached at meg.gannon@thechronicle.com.au.
