IT'S a wonderful feeling for any lecturer to see a class of promising students graduate, but when your student cohort consists of a group of very talented artists the evidence gets to go on the wall.

Each year the visual arts students at the University of Southern Queensland put their tools and skills to the test to stage Graduart, an exhibition celebrating the culmination of years of effort.

Creative arts head of school Dr Rebecca Scollen said the annual showcase is a symbol of the camaraderie that comes from learning alongside other talented and dedicated students and being with them through the inevitable joys, struggles, failures and successes involved in completing a degree.

"By observing each other's progress and supporting each other's growth, each individual is strengthened and their own practice further enabled," she said.

"Graduart is a celebration of the student collective.

"I heartily congratulate all of the students whose work is in Graduart 2019.

"Their achievements are immense and their futures bright."

The show will be open at the USQ art gallery until November 30.
