WHILE thousands of visitors and residents headed to Toowoomba’s parks over the Carnival of Flowers period, our gardeners’ homes were unusually quiet.

For decades Toowoomba region residents have opened their gardens to 10s of thousands of visitors as part of The Chronicle Garden Competition.

With government restrictions dictating visitor numbers to our region’s gardens, as well as health and safety concerns of residents, organisers came up with another way to celebrate our dazzling gardens.

Garden For Good was launched, and for the past two weeks readers have been able to take a virtual tour of 10 featured gardens with stunning photos, videos and interviews.

With florals in full bloom, The Chronicle photographers made a visit to several of the gardens to take new photos of the yards in their full glory.

Readers can also discover the secrets of our avid gardeners with hints and tips from across the region.

As part of Garden For Good readers are able to get their hands on a 2021 calendar filled with stunning photos and the Secrets of Toowoomba’s Gardeners book for $10 when they purchase The Chronicle.

The retail bundle is on offer while stocks last.
