FAMILIES across Toowoomba took advantage of the beautiful spring weather on Father’s Day, turning out to the region’s parks in droves.

FAMILIES across Toowoomba took advantage of the beautiful spring weather on Father's Day, turning out to the region's parks in droves.

Queens Park was filled with families celebrating the special men in their lives.

Plenty of families took it easy, enjoying picnics in the sun.

Meanwhile, over the other side of town at the historic Royal Bulls Head Inn, others enjoyed Father's Day by taking a step back in time.

Rylan and Liam Bruggemann enjoyed the tour of the inn with their dad Joel, and were very happy to learn that the ghosts which usually inhabit the 160-year-old building "were taking Father's Day off".
