A "GAMECHANGING" piece of technology is providing customers with a fast turnaround on script services so people can stay on their medication when they can't see their regular GP.

A national rollout of Priceline Pharmacy's new Scripts Now service means the timesaving tool is now available at all Priceline Pharmacies in Toowoomba.

The Scripts Now platform uses the in-store Health Stations, which are stand-alone digital health monitoring kiosks.

Customers must answer several personal and health-related questions and then their script is approved by a doctor.

With a few keystrokes, customers can now request and receive approval on scripts within an average 15-minute turn around with a cost of $22.99.

Priceline Pharmacy general manager Andrew Vidler said there were huge benefits.

"Customers often present to the pharmacy not realising they have run out of a prescription, but they don't have time to get to a doctor," he said.

"With the Scripts Now service, our customers' continuity of care is maintained and it's delivering a better health outcome."
