Little leukaemia patient Rocco Moy took to Sydney’s skies to embark on the mission of his young life.
The five-year-old was recruited by some of his favourite pup heroes from TV cult animation series Paw Patrol, courtesy of Make-A-Wish charity on Wednesday.
Rocco, who has been courageously fighting the blood cancer for three years, has long dreamt of meeting his favourite canine cartoon characters and enjoying “a huge adventure in the clouds.”

That wish came true as he clambered on board a police helicopter at Northbridge Oval on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, hitched a ride in a cop car and climbed a fire truck ladder to rescue a chicken that provided a secret clue in the hunt for missing pup Rubble.
“I was so happy to go on an adventure with Paw Patrol and go on a mission,” he said beaming after he landed.
Make-A-Wish was able to grant Rocco’s yearning wish with the help of Fire And Rescue NSW, NSW Police, production company Spin Master and Nickelodeon.
Diagnosed at 20 months with acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, the first few years of Rocco’s life in Port Macquarie were tough.
“Rocco’s a helper, so he was extremely excited to help out on the mission today,” his mother Alecia said.
