An illegal cannabis network is brazenly operating online , offering Uber Eats-style deliveries to thousands of Sydneysiders through an online portal.

The service, run through website LeafedOut.com, instantly connects customers to a range of marijuana dealers, with promises of ‘free delivery’, ‘discreet services’ and ‘the best weed in town.’

The Daily Telegraph was able to create an account and within a matter of minutes received messages from nearby suppliers.

One of the dealers, nicknamed ‘McJuanaa’ with Ronald McDonald as its profile picture, was selling a variety of illegal cannabis products, including ‘Purple Skunk’, ‘Laughing Buddha’, ‘Memory Loss’ and ‘Fruit Punch.’

That supplier has received more than 1,500 reviews and boasts a 5 star rating, with one recent customer noting ‘great service and great buds.’

Analysis of the website revealed the location of 70 individual cannabis suppliers across Sydney, spanning across suburbs including Parramatta, Newtown, Mona Vale, Bondi, Ryde, Rockdale and Hurstville.

Another dealer, using the name ‘Ghost Party 420’ immediately contacted this masthead with the following message:

‘Hey bro, what’s up. New customers get awesome gifts. Choose 1 gift with any order. Option 1 - free high-quality (cannabis) buds.

‘Option 2 - 1 (cannabis) cookie.

‘Hit us up… with your order and address in advance and we’ll get it to you within 1-2 hours. We’re online from 11am to 10pm.’

Several marijuana delivery jobs are also advertised on the site.

LeafedOut is an international platform which freely operates in other parts of the world where cannabis is a legal product.

However, in NSW the ‘possession, supply, manufacture, production and cultivation of cannabis… remains prohibited.’

Supplying large quantities of an illegal drug can also result in a prison sentence of up to 20 years.

After being contacted by The Daily Telegraph, NSW Police said ‘The sale of illicit drugs through social media and other online means is not new and remains a challenge to law enforcement. Detectives… and the Drug and Firearms Squad work closely with local police to investigate any incidents of online drug supply.’

‘We need to reduce demand for all illicit drugs but while ever someone is willing to buy them, there will be criminals willing to supply for profit’ NSW Police said.
