Giggling and grinning for the camera, John Ibrahim proudly poses with two waxed eyebrow strips that have become infamous trophies of the “punishment” the Kings Cross identity meted out to an underling.

Footage of the moment former eastern suburbs real estate agent Ryan Watsford yelped out in pain was shown to a bemused jury at the Sydney gun possession trial of Mr Ibrahim’s girlfriend on Friday.

Police discovered two mysterious pairs of human eyebrows at the 51-year-old’s cliff top mansion during raids two years ago, the same day they found a loaded Glock 26 pistol in model Sarah Budge’s nearby Double Bay apartment.

The follicles belonged to Watsford and friend Jaron Chester, who were allegedly caught skimming money from the ex nightclub owner’s family.

The footage shows a blonde beautician leaning over Watsford, who is lying down on his back with wax strips on his brows begging Mr Ibrahim to “go easy.”

Laughing can be heard as a smiling Mr Ibrahim grabs hold of one strip while Watsford braces himself and tells him: “just rip it!”

With a flourish Mr Ibrahim obeys and Watsford yells out in pain before saying: “oh my god” as he gazes into the mirror, aghast.

Meanwhile a triumphant Mr Ibrahim holds up the two hairy wax strips for the camera, chuckling with a cheesy grin.

Leading senior constable Albert Osseily told the court Mr Ibrahim ordered the bizarre punishment to “calm things down” between his furious brother Michael and the two hangers-on who had been caught stealing money from him.

Budge has pleaded not guilty to three firearm possession charges, blaming her lover or someone close to him for planting the weapon in her bedroom without her knowledge in 2017.

Footage of the dawn raids in August that year played to the jury shows police opening a box in Budge’s wardrobe to find the stolen gun wrapped in a black beanie alongside bullets.

The 29-year-old’s fingerprints were allegedly found on a brown paper bag containing the ammunition magazine inside the black box.

DNA linked to “an unidentified male” was also allegedly found on the trigger of the actual pistol, the Crown alleges.

The court has heard that man’s DNA didn’t match anything in the AFP’s database, which did not include a sample from Mr Ibrahim.

Budge is expected to testify on Monday as the trial continues before Judge David Arnott.
