Shocking racist video of Knox Grammar students

A shocking video has emerged of a Knox Grammar student proclaiming “I hate n***as”, in the latest incident to involve the embattled elite school.

The concerning video shared with The Daily Telegraph by a worried member of the school community shows the young student walking with friends, one of who holds a camera up to his face and says: “(Say it) for the camera”.

His friend then replies: “I f***ing hate n***as”.

Sydney’s private schools have been under the microscope recently off the back of an investigation by The Daily Telegraph into a shocking chat group at Knox Grammar, one of the city’s top all-boys schools.

The chat, on popular app Discord, saw students share horrific sexual abuse videos involving young children and make homophobic, racist and sexist comments.

The Telegraph has since been contacted by a number of Knox parents with a litany of complaints about the school’s handling of complaints about bullying and other problems.

Knox Grammar has been contacted for comment about the video.

Expert child psychologist Rose Cantali said social media was becoming even more of a widespread problem in society, particularly as we become more accustomed to it.

“Social media is really stronger than ever, because I think with Covid, people used it more than they would otherwise, even those who weren’t into it got into it to stay in touch,” Ms Cantali said.

“Parents are from the generation of social influencers as well now, so they (children) are being groomed by the parents that it’s normal and to share their life.

“I think the reason things are going pear shaped is that we don’t have any rules of what we should be doing.”

“I think what we need to do is focus on the onlookers. It’s like the guy throwing garbage on the floor, you’re not going to stop him, so you need to teach those around him.

“The power of the bystander can’t be underestimated in all of this, they have a lot of power. Even a message to say I’m not going to follow you anymore – it means a lot these days.”

In just 45 minutes on popular website Reddit dozens of posts referencing raping women, hating women, rapes at parties and wanting to kill people, could be found.

One user detailed how they witnessed a sexual assault taking place at a party and intervened by raping the assaulter.

Another said they would physically attack their wife if she expressed an interest in people of the same sex and that women’s interest in same-sex relationships made the male user hate them.

A third user talked about having rape fantasies and that “most women have a rape fetish” so he would be fulfilling their desire by sexually assaulting them.

The same disturbing post talked about how the user would choose a victim who is “slutty” so it “wouldn’t make a difference”.

A basic search of Twitter uncovered dozens of vile threads about raping children, assaulting women and paedophilia.

“I don’t agree with it but I’ll watch it anyway,” one user wrote on a paedophilia thread.

“Paedophilia and technical incest is OK, but I draw the line at lesbians,” another commented.

A disgusting meme about sexual assault which was too graphic to be printed attracted hundreds of likes.

On TikTok, where security controls are a lot more rigid, a search of words such as rape or paedophilia directs you to call 1800 RESPECT, the hotline for White Ribbon Australia which supports victims of domestic and sexual violence.
