Hundreds of residents on Sydney’s Northern Beaches have been left without water after a burst water main disrupted supplies in North Balgowlah.
Crews are currently working to repair the damaged main, which has caused widespread interruptions to water access.
The affected areas include Balgowlah Heights, Clontarf, Balgowlah, Seaforth, North Balgowlah and Fairlight.
Our crews are responding to a burst water main at Woodbine Rd, North Balgowlah that is affecting water supply to customers in the area,” Sydney Water said in a statement.
“We will restore the supply as quickly as we can.”
As of 11am, crews were still working to repair the burst main.
These locals called into 2GB radio station, saying the supply was cut during their morning routines.
“Four adults and two little kids here, all wanting a bath and shower,” one caller said.
“I managed to have a shower this morning but no one else did,” another told Ben Fordham.
“I think you’ll find the problem is in North Balgowlah in Woodvine st there was a burst water main and that’s flowing down to Manly Vale and it’s just pumping down the street.”
