Homicide squad searching for Campsie woman

HOMICIDE detectives have been called in to help find a missing Campsie woman, after her Sydney flatmates and family in China raised the alarm about her disappearance on Saturday.

THE Homicide Squad has been called in to help find a woman who has been missing from her Campsie home for more than two days.

Qi Yu, 28, made contact with family in China just after 7pm on Friday, and saw friends shortly after, but hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

A housemate of Ms Yu reported her missing from her room in Loch Street on Saturday morning, with friends and family telling police the behaviour is “out of character”.

Her white 2016 model Toyota Corolla with the NSW registration DLK-13P was found later that night on Lindsay Street in Burwood.

Ms Yu is described as being Asian in appearance, 170cm tall with a slim build and brown hair.

Police are asking anyone who saw Ms Yu or her car between 7pm Friday and 8.30pm Saturday to come forward with information.
