BOY, 3, CRITICAL IN HOSPITAL

Officers performed CPR on the boy before he was airlifted to The Children’s Hospital, Westmead, in a critical condition. They were advised last night that Joey died shortly after 9pm.

While a report is prepared for the Coroner, police are urging anyone with information to contact them.

His parents told police they were at the Oberon Recreation Ground opposite their home when Joey tripped after becoming tangled in the leads of their two dogs, an alsatian and a husky.
