Are you proud of your town? Want to show off the gems of the area around Maclean and Grafton to the rest of the state? Here’s your chance to prove our towns stand tall.
Both Grafton and Maclean have been short-listed as finalists in the NSW Top Tourism Town Awards.
Grafton has been short-listed in towns over 5,000 people, while Maclean under 5,000.
To give our area the recognition it needs, all you have to do is vote to make our towns stand out among the 42 towns in the running for the award.
According to the website, towns across NSW were invited to nominate themselves. To support their nomination entrants were required to submit; an inspiring editorial; a three or four day itinerary; an image gallery; and a captivating video which was then formally judged by a panel of 12 leading tourism experts.

Clarence Valley Council general manager Ashley Lindsay said they were counting on the public support to win.
“We can easily see why two of our towns became finalists, what’s not to love,” Mr Lindsay said.
“From the Maclean lookout, the view extends over the Clarence River as it winds its way through Yaegl Country to the coast and Yuraygir National Park. Relax by the river and just enjoy the friendly vibes that are always on offer in Maclean.
“And Grafton, there are few more elegant cities in regional Australia than Grafton. It’s blessed with broad treed avenues, striking architecture, art, culture and friendly country hospitality.”
The NSW Top Town Awards powered by Business NSW will showcase the value of tourism to the towns and communities across New South Wales and demonstrates the locations ongoing commitment to increasing visitation to the destination.
People have until May 14 to cast your vote. Show the rest of the world why Grafton and Maclean should win.
