TWEED River High School has outclassed Grafton High to defend its CHS North Coast Under-15 Netball title at Grafton Sports Centre.

The visiting team quickly had its vision of returning to the State's top eight within sight after stretching out to a 25-13 half-time lead.

However, something in the oranges at half-time brought the best out of the Grafton girls, who bounced back and finished on level terms for the third quarter - 12 apiece.

Grafton continued to match their opposition in the final quarter, but the damage had been done and Tweed River will progress to Sydney on May 7-9 courtesy of a 51-35 win.

"I'm really happy with how they played," Tweed River coach Jennifer Alford said.

"They played with confidence and aggression and have done all the things I've asked them to. When they listen to feedback and work on it, that's when it comes together."

Meanwhile Grafton coach Julie Stringer was equally full of praise for her team.

"To be playing in the North Coast final is a huge thing," she said.

"We tried various combinations and it was good to see the intensity increased in the third quarter and we started to come back."
