Jarryd Hayne 8
It seems there's nothing this man cannot do at the moment. Brilliant with ball, always pushing off defenders and breaking the line. And his try-saver on Corey Parker in the first half was epic.
James McManus 6 ½
Brilliant try-saver on Maroons five-eighth Johnathan Thurston stopping him short in 15th minute. Safe in defence, marking up admirably on big opposite Greg Inglis.
Josh Morris 5
Always probing for a hole but limited involvement as Queensland dominated possession. Re-injured his left knee early.
Josh Dugan 8
Taken him no time at all to be a star at centre. Scored very good try in 61st minute, looping around halfback Trent Hodkinson.
Daniel Tupou
Very handy touch to bat a ball dead and deny a try in 28th minute. Another great try-saver on Thurston, bringing him down just short in 47th.
Josh Reynolds 5 ½
High-energy game again. Knocked out Maroons winger Will Chambers with a huge hit in first half, but outplayed by opposite Thurston.
Trent Hodkinson 5 ½
Solid but unspectacular game. On the back foot from the word go as the Queenslanders enjoyed the majority of possession.
Paul Gallen (capt) 8
Two hit-ups in first set signalled his intentions early. Another big performance from the courageous captain.
Robbie Farah 6
Made 22 tackles in the first half with his team well and truly under the pump.
Aaron Woods 8
Always putting his hand up early to take a run - a real star of the future for the Blues.
Beau Scott 7 ½
Produced a brilliant try-saver on Maroons winger Darius Boyd in 30th minute, and a solid all-round performance in defence.
Ryan Hoffman 7 ½
Strong on left fringe, and kept fronting up all game.
Greg Bird 6
Solid metres up the middle, but not enough in a losing team.
Interchange:
James Tamou 4
Limited involvement and metre gains.
Boyd Cordner 5 ½
Nice footwork up the middle and some promising signs off the bench.
Trent Merrin 4
His threatening offloads and footwork were nullified.
Luke Lewis 5
Quality player but had limited opportunities off the bench
