VICTORY over Rafael Nadal in the Monaco Masters has given world No.1 Novak Djokovic hope he can finally complete a career grand slam by winning the French Open at Roland Garros.

Djokovic (pictured) is no mug on clay - he has climbed to No.6 all-time, compiling a 149-40 record with 10 titles.

It's just unfortunate his career has coincided with that of Nadal.

While players such as Bjorn Borg, Thomas Muster and Gustavo Kuerten all earned the title of "King of Clay" during their time, statistics suggest the Spaniard is the rightful owner of that tag. Nadal has won a record nine French Opens on his way to a 328-26 mark on the red dirt, with Borg (251-41 and six French Open titles) next in line.

As a result of Djokovic's win in Monaco, TattsBet has installed the Serb at $1.90 to capture his first crown in Paris, with Nadal at $2.60.

History, however, suggests it would take a brave man to bet against the Spaniard.
