No Rugby Union landing for Hayne plane

Waratahs rule out signing Jarryd Hayne after Fiji Rugby Sevens side shun the former Eels star

THE New South Wales Waratahs have ruled out signing former NRL star Jarryd Hayne, News Corp reports.

Hayne was spotted twice meeting with Australian Rugby Union boss Bill Pulver twice in the past week leading to rumours he was soon to pull on a blue jersey and join the Sydney based side's back-line.

However in yet another dash to the former State of Origin player, the Waratahs have decided he doesn't fit with the team's direction.

Hayne captured the heart of the nation last year when appeared in the NFL but more recently e was shunned by Fiji's Rugby Sevens side after he left American football to try and make an appearance in the Rio Olympics which start on August 5.
