WHAT do you get when you combine a giant Santa, man-sized Christmas cracker and a sumo Santa?
Grafton's 9th annual Santa Crawl of course.
More than 1200 Santas, snowmen, presents and elves roamed the streets of the Jacaranda city on Saturday before ending up at the Clarence River Jockey Club.
Keeping with the spirit of the Christmas theme, co-organiser and Head Santa Angus McKimm said money raised from the crawl would go to charity.
"With the amount of coin we get, we have to put it through a coin counter but we are confident will have got $10,000," Mr McKimm said.
Mr McKimm said reports from the licensing police were positive.
"Generally we are doing things well but they said was a couple things we can work for next year," he said.
He said his costume highlight this year was the sumo Santa and Christmas presents and people wearing lights with noticeable increase in snowmen this year.
Mr McKimm said the crawl, which started in 2005, grew from humble beginnings with a bunch of mates.
"There were 110 of us on the 2007 crawl," he said.
