NSW Health outlines restrictions for everyone who’s been in locked down areas. Read about them all here

Queensland’s snap lockdown will see at least 11 council areas under restrictions for at least three days.

However, for NSW residents who have visited affected LGA’s in the past two weeks, they may be in for a much longer wait.

This is particularly relevant for North Coast residents who have ducked across the border in recent weeks.

According to NSW health, anyone already in NSW who has been in any of the 11 affected LGAs in Queensland since Wednesday, July 21 must only leave their home or temporary residence in NSW with a reasonable excuse.

Anyone arriving in NSW must complete a declaration and then travel directly to their accommodation and only leave with a reasonable excuse. A person must comply with the stay at home rules for 14 days since they were last in an affected LGA, or until the notice is revoked.

The affected LGAs are: Brisbane City, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Logan City, Noosa Shire Council, Redland City, Scenic Rim Regional Council, Somerset Regional Council, and Sunshine Coast Regional Council.

And it’s bad news for anyone living in the household that you’re isolating in.

NSW Health is asking everyone living in the same residence as a person who has been in one of the 11 LGAs to follow the stay at home rules and only leave home with a reasonable excuse.

The declaration form is available on the Service NSW website, and can be completed in the 24-hour period before entering NSW or on arrival.

The lockdown comes after six new local cases of Covid-19 were recorded across Queensland, sending more than 3,288,000 people into lockdown for three days.
