Interested buyers have been warned to get their clacka to the Jaca if they want to secure an iconic piece of Grafton history.
The Jacaranda Hotel has been listed for sale for the first time in over five decades.
The two-storey wooden building situated in the Grafton CBD was originally named the Willow Tree Hotel and first opened in 1876. It wasn’t until 1939 that the Jacaranda Hotel got its name.
“This substantial freehold hotel sits upon approximately 2,037m2 of land zoned B3 Commercial Core and R1 General Residential on one of the most prime corners in Grafton,” Dougherty Property agent Derek Morgan said.
The hotel also comprises two bars with central operation, kitchen, dining room, beer garden, 11 rooms plus managers quarters.
The hotel is not currently trading and figures are not available, however the liquor licence will be transferred to the incoming purchaser as part of the sale.
“Continue to operate as the existing hotel or come up with your own ideas for the site, but get in quick as opportunities like this don’t come along very often,” Mr Morgan said.
“We’ve had a fair number of inquiries on the property, most of them local but there has certainly been interest out of area too.”
A price guide for the property is available through an expression of interest.
