Grafton woman threatened by teens with machete

Police said one of the teenagers allegedly produced the weapon to threaten the resident after an argument ensued.

At around 6am on Saturday, May 29, Coffs-Clarence Police officers responded to a call for assistance at a property in Pound Street, Grafton.

It’s alleged an argument ensued between the resident and two 17-year-old males, with one of the teens producing a machete and threatening the resident.

Police arrested the two males who were charged with common assault, use of an offensive weapon to commit an indictable offence, damage to property, and seeking to intimidate with the intention to cause physical harm.

The two teenagers were released on conditional bail and will appear in Grafton children’s court on July 1.
