A colourful street art sign placed on high traffic route down Prince St with the message of support of marriage equality is now a pile of paint shavings.
The vibrant work achieved by cleverly blending the LGBTIQ rainbow moniker with a touch of larriken in the traditional Aussie chant for victory 'Cmon Aussie Cmon, only lasted a week.
The union of a the much-loved Aussie phrase and show of support for marriage equality was too much for someone to bear in one artwork.
So why the removal? Why not just express the alternative view on the spare viaduct in the other direction? There are plenty of other examples of street art around that area? Why erase the message instead of challenging it publicly in equal measure?
Guess equality isn't really their strong point.
Anyone else handy with a paint brush?
