They may not be able to taste their end product, but students from McAuley Catholic College got to know everything else about one of the Clarence Valley’s most successful new businesses.
The Year 11 business studies class from the school were taken on a tour of the brewery as part of a case study on small to medium enterprise businesses.
And they weren’t shy about getting to the heart of what made the business tick according to brand ambassador Kim Geritz.
“They asked us questions about our brewing operations, sustainability, management processes, procedures and challenges within the business,” she said.
“And they were able to meet with our management and get the answers straight from them for their case studies.”
The students also were able to take a deep dive into how the beer was made, and witnessed it being canned.
“We have manufacturing, retail, and hospitality that all come together to make the business successful,” Ms Geritz said.
“It also gives them a different way to look at what a modern business does. In modern times, there are different approaches and management styles and business evolves.
“It’s keeping up the most efficient methods for the team, and that’s something that’s not always in a textbook.”
