DIRTGIRL did what she does best at Yamba River Markets yesterday as she officially launched Clarence Valley Council's new waste management scheme.

The international kids TV star, along with her partner in permaculture Scrapboy, were mobbed by an eager crowd as they sold council's new three-bin system to all who'd listen.

The new scheme, designed to reduce landfill, will see the red bin (the bin of last resort) picked up on a fortnightly basis with the public encouraged to make the most of a weekly compost (green) bin collection and a fortnightly recycling (yellow) bin collection.
