Deana Gaudie: South Grafton woman pleads guilty after threatening to kill ex, chop his genitals off during dispute

A Clarence Valley woman has landed in court after threatening to kill her former partner and cut off his genitals during an ongoing dispute. Here’s what happened.

A South Grafton woman has landed in court after threatening to kill her former partner and cut off his penis during an ongoing dispute between the pair.

Deana Gaudie, 54, fronted Grafton Local Court on Monday.

She pleaded guilty to using a carriage service to threaten serious harm, using a carriage service to menace, intimidation, and contravening an apprehended domestic violence order (ADVO).

The court heard Gaudie and the man broke up after a brief relationship about three years ago, but “constantly” argued over the phone and sent hostile messages.

Gaudie went to the police on July 21 and officers determined some of her ex’s messages were “mean in nature”, but she made threats to take the man’s life.

“Police checked the messages from the phone number associated with the victim, which were mean in nature but did not contain any offences,” police state in court documents.

Gaudie defended her actions and said her messages were only “of a similar mean nature”.

The court was told Gaudie often blocked the man, but unblocked him while intoxicated.

Police attended the man’s address in Waterview Heights on July 22 and he confirmed interactions with Gaudie.

He told officers he had deleted many of the messages, like Gaudie.

But he showed police 12 voice messages Gaudie sent between 4:12pm and 7:30pm on July 21, in which numerous violent threats were made, the documents state.

In just one sample, Gaudie said: “I’m going to kill you … You’re a dead f--k.”

“I’m coming out there soon c--t”, “I’m gonna cut your f--king d--k off,” she said.

“You’re just a dying dog mate.”

In another sample from a couple of days later, Gaudie said: “You’re a dirty dog and you’re gonna get bashed you mother f--ker”.

Gaudie breached an ADVO put in place on July 22.

She was arrested on August 2 after more interactions with the man, the documents state.

Gaudie told officers: “This is f--ked, I’m going to get him back.”

In court, Gaudie’s case was adjourned for her lawyers to prepare a mental health application.

She is due to return to court for sentencing on October 23.
