The owner of a new South Grafton florist and gift shop hopes her business will bloom after opening in the heart of town.
Lovin Flowers owner Amanda King said Wednesday’s opening of her Skinner Street store was a dream she had wanted to achieve for many years.
“I’m excited and terrified at the same time,” Mrs King said.
“There are so many ideas racing through my head about what I can do, so it’s going to be a fun new adventure.”
Mrs King said she had worked for other florist businesses for more than a decade before stepping out on her own.
“I decided to open in South Grafton because it’s a beautiful part of the region, plus there aren’t any florists over this side of the river so it’s nice to fill that need,” she said.
The shop offers floral arrangements, dried flowers, gift baskets and candles.
Ms King said she also has full-sized succulents available as a special gift idea.
“Instead of getting those small little succulents where you have to wait for them to grow, we’ve got full-sized ones that you can give as a present and they can put them straight on the table or straight out on the patio,” she said.
