A draft of the Grafton CBD and Transport Strategy Plans are now on exhibition for you to have your say on how the future of the city may look.

The aim of the draft Grafton Precinct Plan and Transport Strategy is to create a place where people enjoy spending time and to ensure we live in a city that supports and encourages thriving local businesses.

Manager for environment, development and strategic planning Adam Cameron said council is keen to get positive input from the community.

“Anyone who would like to get involved and have a say on these draft plans will be helping us to shape the future of Grafton,” he said.

“Already famous for its spectacular street trees, there are opportunities to enhance our connection to the river and create a more people-friendly streetscape.

“There are also important considerations for our growing community, as such we will be focusing on accessibility, public transport and the attractiveness and usability of the spaces.”

Public submissions are welcome on the draft Grafton CBD Plan and Transport Strategy documents which are currently on exhibition until June 4 at www.clarence.nsw.gov.au/onexhibition.
