Clarence Nationals MP Chris Gulaptis says he has tested negative for COVID-19 for the second time under a timetable set by NSW Health.
“I had a Covid contact last week and am isolating until midnight 9 July, with one further test around then,” Mr Gulaptis said.
Mr Gulaptis was considered a close contact following Agriculture Minister Adam Marshall testing positive for COVID-19.
Mr Marshall had dinner with three other Nationals politicians at Christo‘s Pizzeria on Monday, which has now been listed as a place of concern with regard to the Sydney COVID-19 outbreak.
“I‘d also like to remind everyone to follow the rules and keep up to date with them as they can change suddenly, like the new requirement for a NSW entry declaration form before or on arrival in NSW from today for anyone who has been in QLD, the Northern Territory or Western Australia in the previous 14 days,” he said.
Mr Gulaptis’ negative test came as Senior Minister Victor Dominello was been ordered back into isolation.
It came following questions from The Daily Telegraph probing why multiple MPs who were seated further away from Covid-infected MP remained in 14-day lock up.
NSW Health yesterday issued a statement revealing their mistake and ordered Mr Dominello back into quarantine.
Page MP Kevin Hogan also revealed he had undergone a Covid test on his return from federal parliament in Canberra.
Although he was showing no symptoms, he said it did it to be on the safe side.
