New funding for clean energy grant program released

MORE than $340 million in grants for homes, businesses and local councils were opened for applications on Tuesday.

MORE than $340 million in grants for homes, businesses and local councils were opened for applications on Tuesday.

New funding for the clean energy grant program was released by Climate Change Minister Greg Combet.

The $200 million community energy efficiency program, the $100 million low income program and the $40 energy efficiency information grants will fund community upgrades, smarter energy use and business support to make the change to save energy.

All grant programs were open for applications until mid-December except the community program, which was open until February 7, 2013.
