25yo man killed in car crash, South Grafton

A 25-year-old North Coast man has become the latest state road casualty after his car left the road, smashing into a billboard and a tree. Sadly, he was already dead before paramedics arrived.

A young man on the state’s North Coast has died after his car left the road and smashed into a billboard and a tree.

At about 3.20pm on Tuesday, emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of a single-vehicle crash on Big River Way, South Grafton.

The male driver and sole occupant of the car, 25, died prior to the arrival of paramedics.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District established a crime scene on Tuesday afternoon and waited for specialist police to arrive.

Traffic diversions were in place for much of Tuesday evening.

As inquiries continue, anyone who have witnessed the incident – or has any available dashcam/mobile phone footage – has been urged to contact Grafton Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
