THE alleged ringleader of the Afghani Murderers gang, notorious for using Facebook to taunt police, is still updating his status — from inside jail.
Mohammad Qais Niazy has previously used social media to mock police, posting pictures of large piles of cash, himself sniffing a white powder and even one spelling out “f… all cops” in $100 notes.
Niazy is in custody awaiting trial in the Parramatta District Court on charges that include possessing a shortened firearm, unregistered firearm and prohibited weapon.
He will be deported back to Afghanistan afterwards.
Yet his Facebook status has been updated twice in the past month claiming he is now out of jail. Official sources have confirmed he remains inside Long Bay.
The posts included warnings to “people I don’t like” to “hide” and claimed he had “more than 20 phone calls” from scared associates fearing he was watching their homes.
A post on February 6, several weeks after being sent to jail, says: “They think they can bring me down, to bring me down youse (sic) have to put me down. To put me down youse will be gone and done and dusted!”
Another comment says: “The people I don’t like youse better hide motherf… ers I’m out.”
The posts came after The Sunday Telegraph revealed Immigration Minister Peter Dutton had revoked Niazy’s visa and vowed to deport him at the conclusion of his trial and time served in jail.
A Corrective Services spokesman searches had not found a mobile phone or device in his jail cell.
