Former Penthouse pet Robyn Preston Libs’ pick for Hawkesbury

A former Penthouse pet has won Liberal Party preselection for the seat of Hawkesbury, in the wake of Treasurer Dominic Perrottet’s desire for a seat closer to home. Hills Shire Councillor Robyn Preston beat three other contenders.

A Former Penthouse Pet is one step closer to entering state parliament after today winning preselection for the north-western Sydney seat of Hawkesbury.

Hills Shire councillor Robyn Preston was backed by Treasurer Dominic Perrottet who triggered the preselection after deciding he wanted another seat closer to home.

Ms Preston, who has been a Hills Shire Councillor for over a decade, easily beat three other candidates vying for preselection.

Ms Preston, 61, was the subject of an eleventh-hour smear attempt by her opponents with explicit photographs of her Penthouse shoot being shopped around to media outlets on Friday in a bid to sway votes away from her.

However, sources close to the right faction former party official said her modelling assignment was “well known” within the party and would have little impact on her candidacy.

“She is a very popular councillor,” the source said.
