TWO businesses controlled by former Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer have been put into administration.
Sydney Project Group and SET Services Pty Ltd have both been placed into the hands of administrators, according to documents published by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
Sydney Project Group was one of Mr Mehajer’s property development companies, which he used to build multimillion-dollar apartment complexes in Western Sydney.
It was previously listed as being located at 40 John St, Lidcombe, with Mr Mehajer as the owner.
The former councillor was also listed as the owner of SET Services Pty Ltd, which was based at 36 John St, Lidcombe.
A meeting of creditors to both companies is due to be held in Sydney next week.

It is the latest twist in the colourful life of Mr Mehajer, who has suggested he wants to make a comeback to politics in September’s local government elections.
Auburn Council was dismissed last year as the state government merged the authority with neighbouring Holroyd, to create Cumberland Council.
Mr Mehajer did not respond to a request for comment last night.
