POLITICAL correctness will likely be in the firing line when far-right commentator Lauren Southern takes aim at Australia later this year.
The Canadian activist, who counts fellow conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos as a counterpart, has announced a speaking tour of Sydney and four other Australian capital cities in July.
The trip, with colleague Stefan Molyneux, comes seven months after Yiannopoulos’ speaking tour of Australia triggered sometimes violent protests.
Ms Southern was banned from Britain in March after she mocked Islam by handing out flyers outside restaurants in the town of Luton that claimed “Allah is a Gay God” and “Allah is trans.”
She was stopped by police amid a furore over the “racist material.”
Ms Southern said she was merely trying to prove Islam is a homophobic religion by provoking British Muslims by mixing Islamic symbols with LGBT pride flags on her leaflets.
She also courted controversy by trying to block Italian search-and-rescue boats which were dispatched to go to the aid of shipwrecked migrants in the Mediterranean.
“Australia is a fascinating situation for both of us because it really seems you guys are at a crossroad,” Ms Southern said of her upcoming visit.
“Do you want to retain your culture, do you want to retain your borders, family, identity, or will the boats keep coming, will the no-go zones keep growing and will you become another victim of multiculturalism?”
