Police are appealing for help to identify three people who they want to speak to to assist with their enquiries after pot plants were thrown at a police horse and an officer during Saturday’s anti-lockdown protest.

The photographs show the three men near the horse and a female police officer between 1pm and 2pm during the wild scenes on George Street, in Sydney’s CBD.

NSW Police has set up Strike Force Seasoned following the rally to identify those in attendance and thousands of tip offs have already been made to Crimestoppers, with more than 200 people so far fined or charged.

The first man can be seen wearing a hat, sunglasses and with a purple scarf wrapped around his head.

Another man police wish to speak with was wearing a black face mask and black jacket, with sunglasses on top of her head.

Police would also like to talk to a man in a blue tracksuit and dark-coloured cap.

Police Minister David Elliott said the thousands of tip offs from the public so far had been an enormous help for officers.

“The fact that we have had nearly two reports for every person who attended last week‘s rally suggests to me that there is zero tolerance out there for people who want to do the wrong thing,” Mr Elliott said.

“Just assume that when you‘re involved in this sort of activity that’s putting your health at risk, one of your mates is going to dob you in.

“I don’t want anyone going around thinking we have become a nation of dobbers, what we are is a nation of family lovers.”

Anyone with information about the identity of the four men – or who has mobile phone footage of the protest activity – is urged to contact Crime Stoppers through the online portal or by calling 1800 333 000.
