THE woman accused of an axe attack at an Inner West convenience store early Saturday morning did not request bail at her first court appearance — but did ask for prescription medication taken by those transitioning gender.

Evie Amati, 24, of Enmore sat calmly when she appeared at Parramatta bail court by video link, speaking only to request that she be supplied with three prescription medications.

While one was the powerful antidepressant Zoloft, Ms Amati also requested the drugs Progynova and Spiractin.

Progynova boosts oestrogen production in women, while Spiractin helps inhibit androgen or testosterone production in men.

Both are taken by patients who are transitioning from male to female.

Both alleged victims were taken to Prince Royal Alfred Hospital where Mr Rimmer remains in a stable condition.

Sharon Hacker, who suffered a fractured skull, said she was buying milk around 2.25am when she allegedly crossed paths with her attacker.

Ms Amati sat calmly, clad in a light blue jumpsuit that hid her elaborate tattoos, speaking clearly and patiently as she waited for the outcome of her appearance, before making her request for medication.
