A man is fighting for his life after two dogs savagely attacked him in Sydney’s southwest on Monday.
Just before 7.40am a man was reportedly walking past a property on George Rd, Leppington, before a pair of rottweilers attacked him.
The man in his 50s was rushed to Liverpool in a serious but stable condition with bite wounds to his upper body and neck.
A neighbour’s cat was also caught up in the crossfire and killed by the dogs.
The two dogs were seized by the City of Liverpool and Camden Council and taken to a local pound while a decision is made on their future.
NSW Police are investigating the incident.
The attack comes just two days after a 31-year-old woman was attacked by her pet dogs at her property in Perth.
Police were forced to shoot one of the rottweilers to stop the attack.
She is now recovering in hospital.
Last month a British woman died in her NSW home after being mauled on her arms and legs by two rottweilers.
A five-week-old baby also died in a tragic incident in February this year, after she was attacked by a pair of rottweilers while sleeping in a bassinet on the NSW south-coast.
