As the store was converted into an emergency scene, customers continued to try and buy KFC through the old fashioned drive-thru.

News of the crash was posted to Facebook drawing hundreds of comments.

Shane Wilson said he saw a video of the crash.

“The driver leant across to open the door for the passenger who was returning to the car loaded with food and drinks,” he said.

“As driver stretched across, put foot on accelerator then the car started and took off through the front windows.”

Laken Picking said nobody was seriously injured, just shaken up.

“The car didn’t go far enough in to hit any workers,” he posted.

Kelly Small found the funny side of it.

“That takes drive through to next level lol,” she wrote.

While Stefan Hofmann said the crash wouldn’t have been so bad at other fast food chains.

“The windows are stronger at hungry jacks,” he said.

Vicky Legge said the driver could have become impatient

“Maybe they missed the drive through & got a drive in feed,” she wrote.

And Kate Boggs took her inspiration from the TV advertisement which has been on high rotation this summer.

“I don’t care … I love it,” she wrote.
