SYDNEY’S notorious street gang Brothers 4 Life has been exported overseas and interstate after a Bandidos bikie boss patched over.
Police are closely monitoring links between the bikie gang and Middle Eastern crime groups after Queensland Bandido Brett “Kaos” Pechey was spotted wearing the Brothers 4 Life AK47 logo.
It has sparked concerns the Brothers 4 Life brand could be copied in Queensland and overseas after causing chaos in Western Sydney.
The Bandidos, hurt by anti-gang laws implemented in Queensland in 2013, were traditionally aligned with the now-defunct Muslim Brotherhood Movement. But with both the Bandidos and MBM on Queensland’s list of banned gangs, it has created a potential opening for B4L.

Pechey, the Bandidos Brisbane president, fled to Thailand last year after being involved in two high-profile brawls and an alleged extortion racket. He has since posed in B4L clothing and shown-off a B4L-branded motorcycle. Pechey also has a BFL tattoo on his left shin.
Superintendent Mick Niland said Queensland police were monitoring all interstate organised crime groups: “Groups like Brothers 4 Life, we’ve got a monitoring brief on other active crime gangs in Australia. Action would be taken to dismantle any new crime gangs that surfaced.”
Supt Niland said the national anti-gang taskforce and AFP were working with Thai authorities to extradite Pechey back to Australia.
A NSW Police spokeswoman would not comment on “specific intelligence” but said they worked closely with others states.
