Police allege in documents tendered to court that Jason Lloyd, 39, murdered his on-again, off-again partner despite Ms Greenwood having an apprehended violence order out against him.

She was found dead in her driveway at 12.30am on Tuesday.

Lloyd was subsequently arrested at his Sylvania home at 9.30am later that day and charged by police.

He did not appear at Sutherland Courthouse for his mention this morning but was denied bail in his absence.

His next court date is set for December 15.

Meanwhile, local residents of Como have left flowers at Ms Greenwood’s former home.

Ms Greenwood had spent the night at her local pub until closing time at midnight and either made the three minute drive or 25 minute walk back to her share home on Cremona Road where police allege she was killed in the driveway.

Detective Superintendent Jason Box said Ms Greenwood had a current AVO out on Mr Lloyd.

“I can confirm that the 39 year-old female deceased was known to the 39-year-old male who has been arrested,” he said.

“The male and female were involved in an on and off relationship for the past two years.

“I can confirm that there was a current AVO in place for the deceased female.”

Det Supt Box said Ms Greenwood was found with extensive wounds to her upper body, but could not confirm how these wounds were sustained.

He said a weapon was yet to be found.

The usually quiet Cremona Road, less than 300m from Como Preschool and Como Public School, was cut off at its entrance by police investigating the scene most of yesterday.

One neighbour said the death was completely “out of the blue” for the sleepy street.

Another neighbour said Ms Greenwood was a lovely young woman.

“She lived in joint accommodation with other people. She had been renting from them,” she told The Daily Telegraph.

“She was always a pleasant, lovely young woman. She would always say hello when we saw her.

“It is so sad. She never seemed to have many friends around but she was very pleasant.”

Ms Greenwood had worked for John Hatzikiriakos and his wife at The Greek Islands Taverna in Sutherland on and off for years.

“She was like a daughter to us, she was like my own child,” Mr Hatzikiriakos said. “She‘s been with us for quite a while, and she was such a good-hearted person.”
