Summer Bowden in Coffs Harbour court on assault, resist officer charges

A young Coffs Harbour woman is facing seven charges including assault and resisting officers after a night out at a local hotel in April.

A young Coffs Harbour woman is accused of assaulting several people and resisting officers during a night out at the Coffs Hotel in April.

Summer Bowden is facing seven charges in relation to the incident at the hotel on the corner of West High Street and the Pacific Highway between 11pm and midnight on April 8.

She was granted bail at Port Macquarie Local Court the day after the incident on a number of conditions including she abstain from alcohol and does not enter any licensed premises.

The 21-year-old has pleaded not guilty to three charges of common assault and one charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

She has also pleaded not guilty to being an excluded person failing to leave a premises when required to do so.

Ms Bowden pleaded guilty to two charges of resisting an officer in the execution of duty.

The matter came before Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday, May 30 and has been adjourned to July 20.
