WOOLGOOLGA women's premier league team has now gone six games without a loss after defeating Urunga 5-3 at Clive Joass Memorial Field.

The win means the Wildcats have not tasted defeat since the narrow 2-3 loss to the Raiders in round seven and makes them the form side of the competition.

Playing coach Kim Batty said she was pleased with the perfect result but wasn't getting too ahead of herself because of that winning form.

"I don't like to say too soon that we're confident but that win was definitely a confidence booster," she said.

"Especially having a 5-3 win, that's really, really good for us."

Raiders coach Trevor Martin is convinced his side can return to the form they showed earlier in the season.

"I think we need to do a lot better to get a better result and I don't think we played to our potential so I'm a bit disappointed," he said.

"There's a few things we need to work on and we've got to get back to where we were previously.

"But I'm sure we can back to playing the sort of football we were playing earlier in the season and if we do, I think we'll be back in the position we need to be in."

While there were no upsets from the round, the top teams struggled against sides well below them with the Eagles and Lionesses both falling across the line by one goal each.
