Police reveal wanted man has Coffs Harbour connection

A special police operation aimed at finding those wanted on outstanding warrants has turned its sights on a man known to frequent Coffs Harbour.

Clayton Brennan, 29, is sought by virtue of an outstanding arrest warrant in relation to a domestic violence-related offence.

He is described as being of caucasian appearance, about 170cm to 175cm tall, of thin build, with black hair and brown eyes.

Operation Persistence is a statewide campaign where the police use social media to activate the public to help them find people on outstanding warrants.

As well as Coffs Harbour, Brennan is known to visit the towns of Orange and Denman.

Operation Persistence has been hailed in southwest Sydney where police have arrested a total of 84 people on outstanding warrants after door knocking on 430 homes, and sharing images and details of the wanted individuals on social media.

The blitz has seen police catch up with people on matters dating as far back as 2003, with the warrants relating to armed robbery, kidnapping, domestic violence, traffic, arson, break and enter, drug supply, assault police and firearms offences.

Operation Persistence was launched at the start of the year by the State Intelligence Command.
